Ohio Connections Academy: We found that the playback feature worked, but not for every student. There were many instances that the microphone did not pick up the student's voice with enough clarity to accurately complete the hand scoring and often teachers were completing an additional 1:1 reading diagnostic to get a better understand of the student's reading levels.

The teachers loved the reporting aspect of the reading fluency and the breakdown of the foundation skills, however for most students, teachers were completing the reading fluency benchmark along with another 1:1 reading diagnostic to fully understand the student's reading level.

In our reflection we felt that moving to one 1:1 reading assessment that fulfills the state mandates will better streamline the assessment requirements we ask of our teachers and students.
