I feel the below 300 texts are way too high! At that level they do not know bossy r, vowel teams and harder phonics skills. The students end up skipping so many words. We just started this program this year and it is sooooo painful!!!! I have to go back and hand score every passage and to score a 2 minute reading takes me at least 15 minutes because the students keep skipping over words. I can understand why they are unable to read these words, it's because these are spelling patterns they have not been taught yet. Please fix the texts to match the grade level skills.
