As budgets tighten for many school-districts around the country, more affordable, creative technology options are being investigated to keep students in well-functioning devices. Installing a Linux-based OS is one of those strategies.

Ubuntu is a well-known, stable version that is much less resource heavy than Windows 11, and even has Windows-styled versions that ease the transition for student and staff unfamiliar with Linux-based Operating Systems.

To have a secured-browser that can work on a Linux-based computer would be very helpful as we consider how to best meet the needs of our students.
