ISR language adjustment on Dyslexia Screener--confusing for parents
Our state now requires administration of the Dyslexia screener through Grade 3. It also requires reporting of scores to parents. When we print MAP RF's ISR, students at Grade 3 who are working at Levels 4 or 5 say "Below grade level" in red, even though they have capped out of the section. I understand it's because the student in Gr3 should have adapted out to Oral Reading, but we blocked them into Foundational Skills by assigning the Dyslexia screener. That verbiage HAS to change...it will/does create confusion for teachers and panic for parents. This edit needs to be high priority. for a student in Grades 2 or 3, the verbiage on the ISR just must be different.
