Provide Print Passage Capabilities
We would like to request the ability to print passages so that students could have a print copy. This would be helpful for students in kindergarten (as well as other grades) as they are using finger pointing to aid in their reading.

Can there be a clear prompt for students before they have to read so they know to read aloud?

Teacher Dashboard Support
It would be helpful on the teacher dashboard to have teachers made aware of issues with the Oral Reading. Maybe have a flag so the teacher knows they need to tell the student to speak louder, softer, or to make sure they're reading so they don't receive a no score. It is frustrating to go through the process and have to wait until the next day to find out the student needs to be tested again.

Dyslexia Screener WITH Passages option
I wish there was a version of the Dyslexia Screener that also included Oral Reading Fluency. This would be especially helpful for grades 2 and 3. These students need a dyslexia screener (by law). Obviously, teachers can assign the Passages only, but this requires students to log in a second time. I would prefer students being able to go straight in to the second assessment.

usability
On NWEA Growth, students are allowed to click each answer choice and then click the arrow when they're ready to move on. On MAP Reading Fluency, once they click an answer, it moves them on. This is a hard adjustment for young learners (k-1) especially since we teach them to click on every answer to hear the choices on growth.

Tutorial about mistakes
At the end of the benchmark and or progress monitoring it always says Great Work! Sensational! It would be great to have a tutorial of the missed questions. This would be a great teaching tool and immediate feedback. It would be better than making them think they got all of the questions.
correct when they didn't. When students see Great Work! They think they did everything correctly. Since the same words are being used, they are making the same mistakes over and over again.3 votes -
Adaptive for ALL grades
We would love to have the test be adaptive for ALL grades to determine foundational skill deficits. Students in the upper grades cannot adapt down to foundational skills unless explicitly assigned the foundational skills benchmark but when determining the needs of students we would like to be able to see them move in either direction, based on their needs.

Progress bar or percent for teacher to see during testing.
Testing progress bar (or percentage) to show how much of the test the student has completed vs how much left to complete. This would be nice for the teacher to see while testing.

Oral Reading Fluency
Please take the green done button off of the Oral Reading Fluency passages for the first minute. This will encourage students to read for at least a minute so their score can count.

sounds
On the part where the kids are listening for a sound and having to choose the letters or put letters in a box, it might be helpful if they have a mouth saying it so they can differentiate the sounds by using the mouth. This will help our speech kids.

Appropriate Font and Spacing for Grade Level
First grade NWEA Passages need to be more developmentally appropriate size and spacing. The passages 1st graders are looking at are the same size and spacing parameters as the ones that 3rd graders are reading. Can 1st grade assessments have larger font and wider spacing so students can track correctly?

story format the same for student & teacher
To make it easier to see if students are skipping lines and are having tracking issues, could the teacher screen that shows the miscues be in the same format as the students screen?

Highlighter tool
1st graders are having difficulty tracking long passages on the computer. The Missouri State MAP testing allows students to use different tools when reading. One of the tools is a highlighter tape line. I would recommend this tool.
