  3. The latest RIT Reference Chart Brochure is from 2019. An updated copy with the 2025 norms would be VERY helpful as it is a great visual for new teachers doing MAP testing for the first time along with parents. It gives a great example of where students are currently at.

  4. In the 2025 MAP Growth Norms Technical Manual, the achievement percentiles are represented in increments of 5. This would be more useful if you posted the entire table, similar to the 2020 norms, with Pct. 1-99.

  5. At present, both achievement and growth percentiles are reported for the most recent score, but only prior achievement percentiles appear when hovering over previous data points on the individual student performance graph for a subject. student growth percentiles should also pop up because relative growth at different times can be a crucial diagnostic.

  6. Presently, Science Growth plots stop at Grade 10. Yet, high school science education continues, and exit exams offered by many states and districts come at the end of Grade 11. Science Growth & Achievement data through at least Grade 11 would be extremely valuable, even if national sample sizes are relatively small -- they're large enough to generate means and confidence intervals.

  8. An admin reported that teachers are receiving emails when new user accounts are created. They’ve asked that these notifications be suppressed, as they will handle user communication directly. Please update the system to stop these emails from being sent to end users upon account creation.

  9. Since AI misuse has become prevalent, NWEA should develop "indicators" to flag test results for potential cheating behaviors. Districts could investigate to confirm or refute flagged scores.

  11. I would love to have a report where I can see all students in a spreadsheet with all of their existing scores by term. I.E. For math student ben I would be able to see each of his scores for whaterver date range I pull. This would be very helpful for quality control and to quickly identify students who are not progressing.

  12. The process by which to share MAP results with families is miserable. The family report is not batch-exportable so until NWEA decides to prioritize this simple but critical aspect of the Family Report, the process remains a clerical and technical challenge.

    I would strong advocate for NWEA to institute a system by which parents can enter their child's ID (provided and rostered by the school) and through this system, they can access their child's MAP report. This would remove the school as the "middle man" in the distribution of MAP reports and significantly ease the burden of schools in this…

  14. We use the NWEA Web-based MAP Automated Report Services to retrieve data export files and recently moved the scripts to a new linux server. We had some difficulty getting these scripts to run; I think adding some additional instructions may help.

    The first issue was retrieving the required Perl packages via the cpanm utility, per the recommendation on https://www.cpan.org/modules/INSTALL.html. That approach yields a failure during the building and testing step for the package WWW:Curl::Easy. To work around this, we used the system package manager to install the curl related dependencies for retrieve_dex.pl:

    sudo dnf install perl-WWW-Curl

  15. It would be helpful to have the ability for a testing administrator or testing coordinator to pull a report before testing has begun, but after sessions have been created, that shows which accommodations have been assigned to the students. This would allow administrators to confirm that the correct accommodations have been assigned to students before the test is given with the incorrect accommodations.

  16. NWEA in schools could be improved by implementing a system that automatically groups students into centers based on their specific needs within a given topic. By analyzing assessment data, NWEA could place students who need reinforcement in a particular skill together, allowing teachers to provide more targeted instruction. This would make small-group instruction more effective, ensuring that students receive the support they need while working alongside peers at a similar level. Additionally, this approach would help teachers differentiate instruction more efficiently, reducing the time spent manually grouping students and allowing for a more seamless learning experience.

  19. When teachers have a history at different schools in your platform, the platform remembers and defaults to the top alphabetical one on a class profile. It would be preferable for that school to populate to only the most current term's associated school. An alternative would be for the teacher to select a "favorite" or default school.

  20. I would like to have a report that groups students based on their readiness to learn a new topic in the continuum. This would allow me to call a group of students in and teach them all a specific topic that they are all either behind or ahead of the general class.
