  1. Most campuses want to test students who show Invalid data right away. The District users are the ones who need also see that for the student. Right now, as soon as the student receives this notice, there is not a way for the district person to see it in order to reset it. We call to validate. Please change the student's status from completed to invalid right away.

  2. Gathering data from the learning continuum report is very combersome and overwhelming. We previously used STAR and they had a report with all of the grade level standards- each student score was color coded in accordance with their proficiency on each standard. If they were above grade level on that standard- they were blue, on grade level- they were green, slightly below was yellow, and far below was red. It made it very easy to see which standards I need to focus on.
This learning continuum reprt, I have to look at the report, then look at each student to…

  3. It would be helpful if you could add an alert on the proctor console to show the test is invalid once it's completed, especially in cases where the test doesn't meet the minimum test duration requirements.

  4. When completing a MAP assessment, early learners are often still developing foundational digital interaction skills, including the use of iPads, touch interfaces, or mouse-based navigation. Requiring multiple interaction modalities to answer questions can introduce unnecessary user-interface complexity and cognitive load.

From a usability and assessment-validity perspective, limiting response interactions to a single, consistent mechanic—such as drag-and-drop—would reduce confusion related to interface operation. For example, when a learner clicks on an answer and does not understand why it is not moving or responding as expected, the resulting difficulty reflects challenges with the interface design rather than the learner’s cognitive understanding of…

  5. When sharing family reports, we would love if the chart showing RIT scores over each test window also include the color bands that we can see in the Student Profile pages. These color bands are helpful for at-a-glance proficiency recognition, and also now play a part in our school's Direct Admissions program. Given that this is already available in the Student Profile page, I hope that it's not too big of an ask to have that integrated into the family report as well.

  6. I have noticed that younger learners with the Read Aloud option have a hard time understanding that they need to go back and and pick an answer. They either listen to the first choice - see that the button popped up and assume they got it right and move on. OR they listen to all 4 choices - answer in their head - and move on leaving the last answer selected.

If the listen button could be unlinked from the multiple choice answers that would really help us get better data.

  8. Maintain the Term Rostering for students who have test events, even if they unenroll before the end of the testing window.

Now, if a student is removed from the Clever roster, the entire enrollment term in progress is removed for that student. This happens regardless of whether the student has test events in the window or when in the window they exited the school. That means meaningful test data is excluded from class reports and school profile reports.

  9. Page 13 of the Proctor Guide https://teach.mapnwea.org/impl/ProctorGuide.pdf states that selecting "Do Not Confirm: Terminates the original test and restricts the student from taking the test again this term." This is not accurate. My teachers are confused enough as it is with all the different menu options - please maintain accurate documentation to support your users!

  10. As a special education case manager, it is very tedious to sort through individual teacher's classes to find my student's data. I would love the availability to create a "caseload" where I could claim students as mine to quickly track progress, better inform my small group groupings, improve reteaching instruction, produce reports, etc. Thank you for considering.

  11. Create a way for System Admin to search for the test session where a student is actively testing. Occasionally students may end up testing in two different rooms on the same day. If the first teacher fails to close their test session, students are unable to login to their second test. It would be helpful to be able to search by student to find out if they are active in a Test Session and that Test Session Name.

  12. It is difficult to pull one report at time when looking at a specific teacher's data. We would like a drop down list of teachers that we can check to filter the teachers' names we want to see data for. For example, teachers have 3 blocks listed in the class profile.

  13. Our K-1 students use iPads to MAP test and also receive their test read aloud, however due to the fact that MAP allows students to tap on answer choices before even hearing the question, we have students literally tap-tap-tapping their way through the assessment before even hearing a question or the answer choices. i-Ready has flaws, but one thing i-Ready did RIGHT was to lock student answer choices until the system had finished reading the question aloud AND all of the answer choices. At that time, the answer choices unlocked so students could pick the correct answer. Without the locking…

  14. It is essential that assessment design aligns with evidence-based instructional practices. When there is a disconnect between how students are taught and how they are assessed, the validity and reliability of the resulting data are compromised (American Educational Research Association, American Psychological Association, & National Council on Measurement in Education, 2014).
In classroom instruction, students are explicitly taught research-supported strategies such as previewing questions to establish purpose and flagging items to revisit. These practices are grounded in cognitive science. Research demonstrates that reducing cognitive load improves performance and accuracy (John Sweller, 1988), while metacognitive strategies such as self-monitoring and revisiting…

  15. Disaggregating data for independent schools so they can more accurately report data to their families. This data can then be used in the application process, replace the usage of ERBs, and become the de facto test for independent schools. The current limitations for reporting makes it very difficult.

  16. Please add the Lexile levels so that my teachers do not need another tool or time-consuming assessment. I realize there is some debate as to the accuracy of the Lexile levels in Spanish, but starting anywhere would be helpful and more equitable.

  17. Here is the thing, often times student may have a extremely high understanding of the topic, and starting off low is simply troublesome since you would ever reach your full potential, if you are unlucky enough to be paired with bugged system that won't allow you to get one step near the next RIT range. If we start hard first, then its easier to determine the students' full potential, rather than the base of their knowledge.

  20. Our state (Maryland) requires reporting with the 2 new race codes be used for the 2026-2027 school year. The two changes made in 2024 at the Federal level include a Middle Eastern/Northern African category and making Hispanic a race and not a separate ethnicity with a race. Please update NWEA MAP to enable ingestion and reporting to include these new codes.
