  1. I've had a few schools reach out and let me know that they accidentally terminated a test. One thing that I think would be helpful was if the "Are You Sure You Want to Terminate" box was a different color/looked different/etc than the "Are You Sure You Want to Suspend" box. I think a lot of people aren't reading the entire box and are assuming they are on the Suspend button instead of the Terminate button.

  2. They should not get kicked off the test because they are a slower reader (there should be no time limit). I was informed they give them plenty of time before they kick them off. Whatever that limit is, it is not enough. I watched two students scrolling through and reading it and both got kicked off. It is not enough time. There should be no time limit at all. If there is, then it is a timed test. I was told MAP is not a timed test.

  3. I am a school psychologist and for many years have used the Student Progress Report with my teams. It is a fantastic tool that allows the team to quickly view and process the student's scores in reading, math and language use over time. Having the %tiles available along with RIT score is extremely valuable. Teams can add this data to other pieces of data and help figure out if a child has skills similar to other students with disabilities or if they may have an attention or anxiety issue at play. Without this quick and easy to interpret data, I…

  4. As an experienced teacher who has seen the MAP tests in action for several years, I feel that the test is too long for students. MAP-R especially requires a serious amount of reading stamina for 4th and 5th grade students. I saw that you measure growth in 3 areas on the test. I recommend that you shorten the test to 30 questions (10 questions in each area). This would be a better measure of students reading ability and comprehension because students wouldn't get as tired and just give up.

  5. I would like to have a report where I can see, at a class level, what skills overall my students are struggling with. Not just specific topics, such as Geometry, but rather the specific geometry skill.

  7. Please make it possible to produce growth reports for assessments given within the same period (Fall, Winter or Spring). We are on the quarter system at my school and it would be beneficial to see the results prior to student schedules / teachers changing

  9. The new update to the rosters import file requirements necessitates that each row have a valid email address associated with it. In theory, this is a good idea. But in practice, it is causing more work for schools/districts who have classes that are not yet assigned to an instructor yet (for example, classes currently being covered by a long-term sub). Previously, we were able to upload the file with "Staff" listed in the instructor column. Now, I am forced to manually change 300+ rows of data to connect each student in these classes to the appropriate instructor account. The previous…

  10. I give students the course-specific math tests, and my district requires the 6+ Math growth test. This means that on the student profile page, I can only pull up the data for the most recent test (or the test with the better standard deviation). I also cannot print the data for both the course-specific and 6+ Math for individual students or their guardians.

  11. Currently, if a session is active, and the teacher or proctor has to leave for any reason during the session. The only way to continue to administer/monitor the session (and resolve potential student issues) is to have the teacher who started the session, end and save it before leaving. Then have the proctor or teacher who is replacing the teacher login to their account and resume the session. This is costly when time is limited, and interrupts a test in progress. It would be very helpful if district and school proctors could simply login, find the session in progress, and…

  12. Better communication when there are technical issues. Right now the iOS NWEA app doesn't work with iOS 17.x. The NWEA status page still doesn't show this issue. It would also be extremely helpful to get an email when an issue like this comes up. We have a testing window starting next week and we had to spin our wheels trying to troubleshoot this issue.

  13. It would be nice to have the ability within the class profile report to be able to select more than one class period (secondary) for a specific teacher. So the teacher can determine trends of all of their course level students instead of looking at each individual section of students. This would also be helpful to be able to do within school profile but have the ability to select multiple teachers within the same course to look for trends of all students taking that specific course, regardless of age/grade.

  14. Is it possible for each type of assessment to be given a number in the drop down menu?

    For example,
    01Map growth Texas assessment math
02Map growth Texas assessment math (accessible)
    03
    04
    05...

We have some teachers who select the incorrect assessment due to the fact that the assessment names are so similar, therefore, creating skewed data or students having to retake assessments.

  15. Printing and Downloading the colorful reports for the class reports and some of the NEW innovative report styles that are being activated need those options. They are only available for viewing. Please have your IT or creator of the NWEA database add those options, which is essential for all users.

  17. We need an option to export a PDF version of the class profile, school profile, and new district profile reports. Administrators look at current performance and growth and they immediately want to compare it to prior years. We need a way to download the PDF of the reports so that it can be saved for future reference. Also, some district leaders do not log into NWEA to view reports because I share the reports with them. Having the download/export PDF option will assist with the sharing of the information with those leaders.

  18. The old growth continuum put student names next to standard/skill areas. The new report doesn't. Without student names, this report is a hassle for our elementary teachers, who have to look up scores for 20 students in every skill area. For our middle school teachers, who each have about 150 students, the report is simply useless. They can not cross-reference 150 student scores for every sub-skill every time they are preparing a new unit!

  19. Was the idea to add both marketing garbage and more clicks to get to the things we actually want? If so, bravo.

Admin like me want the admin/management page. Teachers want the reporting page. The only people who want "product news and updates" to be the first thing we see is your marketing team.

Get rid of it, or at least give us the option of setting our home page.

  20. Can we have a feature to keep student accommodations for the school year? TIDE (state testing) and other platforms have this feature.

Adding accommodations each BOY,MOY and EOY to 4 tests per 3 grade levels, 3 times a year is tedious and time consuming.

    6th- 4 tests, 7th- 4 tests, 8th grade 4 tests

    4 x 3 = 12 tests

12 tests x BOY, MOY, EOY = 36 tests total

    36 tests total x 400 students with accommodations= 14, 400 times of accommodations inputted

Also, can the Reading and Language test be combined?
