  1. Currently NWEA does not have SFP records for its domains. This allows any SMTP server to say they are from NWEA when they are not. SFP records state to the world which SMPT servers are allowed to email on your behalf. Currently the entire world is able to email on your behalf because you don't have SFP records defined in your domain. I can not whitelist any domain to be allowed into our network if anyone can spoof who it is coming from. Please add needed SFP records to all you domains so we can trust emails are coming from…

  2. Since AI misuse has become prevalent, NWEA should develop "indicators" to flag test results for potential cheating behaviors. Districts could investigate to confirm or refute flagged scores.

  3. It would be helpful if the test proctor screen could identify how a student was accessing the MAP assessment. We have students that are finding ways to cheat by either logging into Chromebooks and then going to NWEA, but able to switch screens, or possibly using a different operating system to bypass our safeguards.

  4. The app is outdated in comparison to all the educational apps we have on the IPADS these days. We have had so many issues with students not being able to slide words or numbers, but click to get the dots in order to move. It needs to be updated. It's not user friendly, we actually had a student who had to click down to get the right answer, move words to match in the click down and way too many steps. Gotta find a better way.

  5. We use the NWEA Web-based MAP Automated Report Services to retrieve data export files and recently moved the scripts to a new linux server. We had some difficulty getting these scripts to run; I think adding some additional instructions may help.

    The first issue was retrieving the required Perl packages via the cpanm utility, per the recommendation on https://www.cpan.org/modules/INSTALL.html. That approach yields a failure during the building and testing step for the package WWW:Curl::Easy. To work around this, we used the system package manager to install the curl related dependencies for retrieve_dex.pl:

    sudo dnf install perl-WWW-Curl

  6. Please make available in the profile report (school especially) previous years to match the term tested and term rostered. Term rostered can only go back to the 23-24 school year. I need it to go back to the 21-22 and 22-23 school year.

  7. Reports print out the student's first and last name, but is missing the student's middle initial. This helps when merging different reports from different resources.

  9. We need a way to calculate growth goals based on improving achievement percentiles compared to the normed growth goals currently set. We have students far below grade level and these norms do not end up growing student percentiles.

  12. When teachers have a history at different schools in your platform, the platform remembers and defaults to the top alphabetical one on a class profile. It would be preferable for that school to populate to only the most current term's associated school. An alternative would be for the teacher to select a "favorite" or default school.

  13. Hi, so we are currently sharing family reports for the first time, after testing out MAP Growth the past couple of years. At the moment the only way to do this on MAP Growth is to click each student and individually exclude tests from their reports. As we are quite a large school we are having to do this over a thousand students. This is quite a laborious process. It would be great if there was a bulk option to exclude tests from reports.

  15. I just learned on an NWEA support call that we can only have one report in the "queue" at a time in the "Data Export Scheduler". When I review the page where I requested and the report, I don't see anything telling me that. A use could spend plan developing a sequence of stacked reports thinking they would become available one at a time. The "Data Export Scheduler" page does say "Only the most current data export is available for download." but it doesn't say one report can be "in process" at a time and if a second report is…

  18. Could we be able to see the historical data and instructional areas for students who have completed the testing multiple times? So, if I were to select last winter's roster for a student report, it would look like it did then. The idea is that I'm looking for the specific learning outcomes that have changed for a student.

  19. As a network of multiple charter schools, our MAP data is a vital part of the renewal and WASC process. We were recently requested by our charter authorizer to have our CGI scores broken down by Program and Ethnicity for each individual grade-level for the past three years. There was no easy way to obtain this information for past years. The combined report would have been the best place to obtain this info, but it only contains ethnicity data.
