  5. Text-to-speech passages should give options to just read the question if the passage has multiple questions. As of right now, it reads the story all over again each time and some scholars get frustrated with that.

  6. The exact RIT score for Instructional Areas should be available in the Grade Breakdown report rather than a RIT range. Currently, the only way to get exact student data is to download repeatedly from the Class Profile report which is not possible when examining data and determining MTSS placement at the school or district level.

  7. Please use human readers for the story passages. The computerized voice runs over punctuation, mashes words together, and puts unnatural breaks in sentences. For example it sounds like: "Where are we going?"........."asked John he sat"........"down in his chair."

Students who can read to themselves have the advantage of "hearing" the story read fluently, which aids their comprehension. Students who actually NEED the read aloud have to listen to it read dysfluently, and that's so unnecessary and unfair. I've had students with IEPs take their headphones off and say they would rather wing it than hear the "annoying" robot voice. There's…

  8. There is currently no way to export/batch all of the data from the K-2 Screening tests in csv or xls. The existing report only lets you export as PDF. The class report doesn't fit on one page and doesn't let you change the formating to fit on one page. The by student report has to be done one at a time for each test and each student. Please add a batch option for individual reports or add these tests to the options for batch print in family reports

  9. Many of the problems students have with the questions are: they don’t know what a word means within that question or answer choice. The standard being measured does not include their knowledge of those words. Have the ability to click a word they don’t know to have the meaning pop up.

  11. Can administrators have the capability to alter what is checked by default in the Family Report? If I could change the defaults, it would prevent our teachers from sending out reports that have extraneous information like SAT/ACT/EOG if we don't want that info sent out for our youngest students.

  12. When students are taking their time and writing notes it often kicks them out and they have to start over on a new passage. Maybe have a button they can press that freezes the screen or test so it doesn’t think they are inactive?

  13. Most campuses want to test students who show Invalid data right away. The District users are the ones who need also see that for the student. Right now, as soon as the student receives this notice, there is not a way for the district person to see it in order to reset it. We call to validate. Please change the student's status from completed to invalid right away.

  14. Gathering data from the learning continuum report is very combersome and overwhelming. We previously used STAR and they had a report with all of the grade level standards- each student score was color coded in accordance with their proficiency on each standard. If they were above grade level on that standard- they were blue, on grade level- they were green, slightly below was yellow, and far below was red. It made it very easy to see which standards I need to focus on.
This learning continuum reprt, I have to look at the report, then look at each student to…

  15. It would be helpful if you could add an alert on the proctor console to show the test is invalid once it's completed, especially in cases where the test doesn't meet the minimum test duration requirements.

  16. I have noticed that younger learners with the Read Aloud option have a hard time understanding that they need to go back and and pick an answer. They either listen to the first choice - see that the button popped up and assume they got it right and move on. OR they listen to all 4 choices - answer in their head - and move on leaving the last answer selected.

If the listen button could be unlinked from the multiple choice answers that would really help us get better data.

  17. Maintain the Term Rostering for students who have test events, even if they unenroll before the end of the testing window.

Now, if a student is removed from the Clever roster, the entire enrollment term in progress is removed for that student. This happens regardless of whether the student has test events in the window or when in the window they exited the school. That means meaningful test data is excluded from class reports and school profile reports.

  18. Page 13 of the Proctor Guide https://teach.mapnwea.org/impl/ProctorGuide.pdf states that selecting "Do Not Confirm: Terminates the original test and restricts the student from taking the test again this term." This is not accurate. My teachers are confused enough as it is with all the different menu options - please maintain accurate documentation to support your users!

  19. It is difficult to pull one report at time when looking at a specific teacher's data. We would like a drop down list of teachers that we can check to filter the teachers' names we want to see data for. For example, teachers have 3 blocks listed in the class profile.

  20. It is essential that assessment design aligns with evidence-based instructional practices. When there is a disconnect between how students are taught and how they are assessed, the validity and reliability of the resulting data are compromised (American Educational Research Association, American Psychological Association, & National Council on Measurement in Education, 2014).
In classroom instruction, students are explicitly taught research-supported strategies such as previewing questions to establish purpose and flagging items to revisit. These practices are grounded in cognitive science. Research demonstrates that reducing cognitive load improves performance and accuracy (John Sweller, 1988), while metacognitive strategies such as self-monitoring and revisiting…
