    We have been looking for a way to provide meaningful, measurable, improvement in students academia, tied to The Center for Advancement in Social Emotional Learning, Heart Based SEL modules. Could we possibly work together to collect this data?

  2. Please... Be consistent about the order you list the Content Goal Areas on different reports. Different reports put them a different order. It would be so helpful if the list was standardized across reports.

  3. Please add a feature to the Student Progress report that allows users to select specific subjects. This would make it easier to track progress in individual subjects and provide more focused insights for educators.

  4. We run screening tests for potential students. If we keep these active year-round, teachers of current students sometimes choose the screening test by mistake instead of the appropriate Growth test. So, our process is to only activate the appropriate screening tests for the appropriate grade level when the potential student is scheduled to take it.

    This is generally done by our secretaries or principals. The only role with access to Modify Tests is the System Administrator, which has many other permissions that really aren't necessary for them and shouldn't be given.

  6. Allow for the option to change the voice for text to speech accommodations. The voice doesn't not accurately read the text, and will say /red/ when we would want /reed/ for the word read. It will also change long and short vowel sounds so that students are unable to understand what is being read to them.

  7. Please allow direct editing of a student's username in the MAP Growth admin interface to more easily facilitate resolving issues like duplication. Having to manually import a roster to make such changes seems unnecessarily cumbersome and archaic.

  10. For the K-2 measurement and data questions, we've noticed so many questions geared towards entering the times for a digital clock, and very few questions around measuring length or reading a graph. The digital clock questions also are tricky formatting wise (for example, if the time is four thirty, students need to know to put the 4 immediately to the left of the colon and not in the first blank space). I think it would be a more accurate reflection of measurement and data abilities to include more measuring length and reading data questions in this section of the test…

  11. Presently, Science Growth plots stop at Grade 10. Yet, high school science education continues, and exit exams offered by many states and districts come at the end of Grade 11. Science Growth & Achievement data through at least Grade 11 would be extremely valuable, even if national sample sizes are relatively small -- they're large enough to generate means and confidence intervals.

  12. An admin reported that teachers are receiving emails when new user accounts are created. They’ve asked that these notifications be suppressed, as they will handle user communication directly. Please update the system to stop these emails from being sent to end users upon account creation.

  13. Currently NWEA does not have SFP records for its domains. This allows any SMTP server to say they are from NWEA when they are not. SFP records state to the world which SMPT servers are allowed to email on your behalf. Currently the entire world is able to email on your behalf because you don't have SFP records defined in your domain. I can not whitelist any domain to be allowed into our network if anyone can spoof who it is coming from. Please add needed SFP records to all you domains so we can trust emails are coming from…

  14. Since AI misuse has become prevalent, NWEA should develop "indicators" to flag test results for potential cheating behaviors. Districts could investigate to confirm or refute flagged scores.

  15. It would be helpful if the test proctor screen could identify how a student was accessing the MAP assessment. We have students that are finding ways to cheat by either logging into Chromebooks and then going to NWEA, but able to switch screens, or possibly using a different operating system to bypass our safeguards.

  16. The app is outdated in comparison to all the educational apps we have on the IPADS these days. We have had so many issues with students not being able to slide words or numbers, but click to get the dots in order to move. It needs to be updated. It's not user friendly, we actually had a student who had to click down to get the right answer, move words to match in the click down and way too many steps. Gotta find a better way.

  17. We use the NWEA Web-based MAP Automated Report Services to retrieve data export files and recently moved the scripts to a new linux server. We had some difficulty getting these scripts to run; I think adding some additional instructions may help.

    The first issue was retrieving the required Perl packages via the cpanm utility, per the recommendation on https://www.cpan.org/modules/INSTALL.html. That approach yields a failure during the building and testing step for the package WWW:Curl::Easy. To work around this, we used the system package manager to install the curl related dependencies for retrieve_dex.pl:
    sudo dnf update
    sudo dnf install perl-WWW-Curl

  18. Please make available in the profile report (school especially) previous years to match the term tested and term rostered. Term rostered can only go back to the 23-24 school year. I need it to go back to the 21-22 and 22-23 school year.

  19. NWEA in schools could be improved by implementing a system that automatically groups students into centers based on their specific needs within a given topic. By analyzing assessment data, NWEA could place students who need reinforcement in a particular skill together, allowing teachers to provide more targeted instruction. This would make small-group instruction more effective, ensuring that students receive the support they need while working alongside peers at a similar level. Additionally, this approach would help teachers differentiate instruction more efficiently, reducing the time spent manually grouping students and allowing for a more seamless learning experience.

  20. Reports print out the student's first and last name, but is missing the student's middle initial. This helps when merging different reports from different resources.
