  1. Removing our permissions to edit our own district has been disastrous. We've had to add a new school, and where we could have done so immediately in the past, we have now waited over a week, and the school still has not been updated. This is ridiculous.

  2. Ever since the recent update, the “Create Student” button in Active Session has disappeared for District Proctors.

    I get it — streamlining user roles is probably meant to improve clarity and control. But honestly, this was not a smart move. That button was essential for those last-minute situations when a student shows up for testing but isn’t rostered yet.

    Having to go through Manage Students or upload a full roster file just to create one student profile is not efficient, especially in high-pressure testing moments. The old setup let us create a student in seconds, right in Active Session. It…

  3. Teachers need to have the same tab that admin has in reporting. Specifically the growth and achievement bar graph on the second tab that is under the admin reporting section.

  4. An admin reported that teachers are receiving emails when new user accounts are created. They’ve asked that these notifications be suppressed, as they will handle user communication directly. Please update the system to stop these emails from being sent to end users upon account creation.

  5. Currently NWEA does not have SFP records for its domains. This allows any SMTP server to say they are from NWEA when they are not. SFP records state to the world which SMPT servers are allowed to email on your behalf. Currently the entire world is able to email on your behalf because you don't have SFP records defined in your domain. I can not whitelist any domain to be allowed into our network if anyone can spoof who it is coming from. Please add needed SFP records to all you domains so we can trust emails are coming from…

  6. Allow tests to be added or removed from a school within a district rather than only district-wide.

    If I have an Elementary School, I want them to have access to different tests than a high school or middle school or even a summer school, where we may just use screening tests.

    Having to scroll through every test makes it more stressful, with a higher likelihood of mistakes.

  7. Please include the amount of time tested on the Achievement Status & Growth Summary with Quadrant Chart. It is very helpful for the teachers to have this information as they try to encourage their students to take more time on future tests.

  8. Since AI misuse has become prevalent, NWEA should develop "indicators" to flag test results for potential cheating behaviors. Districts could investigate to confirm or refute flagged scores.

  9. It would be helpful if the test proctor screen could identify how a student was accessing the MAP assessment. We have students that are finding ways to cheat by either logging into Chromebooks and then going to NWEA, but able to switch screens, or possibly using a different operating system to bypass our safeguards.

  10. I would love to have a report where I can see all students in a spreadsheet with all of their existing scores by term. I.E. For math student ben I would be able to see each of his scores for whaterver date range I pull. This would be very helpful for quality control and to quickly identify students who are not progressing.

  11. The app is outdated in comparison to all the educational apps we have on the IPADS these days. We have had so many issues with students not being able to slide words or numbers, but click to get the dots in order to move. It needs to be updated. It's not user friendly, we actually had a student who had to click down to get the right answer, move words to match in the click down and way too many steps. Gotta find a better way.

  13. We use the NWEA Web-based MAP Automated Report Services to retrieve data export files and recently moved the scripts to a new linux server. We had some difficulty getting these scripts to run; I think adding some additional instructions may help.

    The first issue was retrieving the required Perl packages via the cpanm utility, per the recommendation on https://www.cpan.org/modules/INSTALL.html. That approach yields a failure during the building and testing step for the package WWW:Curl::Easy. To work around this, we used the system package manager to install the curl related dependencies for retrieve_dex.pl:

    sudo dnf install perl-WWW-Curl

  14. Proctors should not be able to administer a test. I have had multiple proctors terminate multiple tests because a student thinks they are not done with a test (forgot they finished with a different teacher a different day), and the teacher gets flustered and terminates the test, thinking they can reset it so the student can be assigned a new test. Please make it much more difficult to terminate a test so this is not accidentally done. Thanks!

  15. Multiple disruptions of service! During the last 4 years of 3X/year administration, multiple times we've tried to launch built test sessions and the NWEA site has been unresponsive. Worse, frantic calls to NWEA tech support go unanswered. Very stressful and disheartening.

  16. Please make available in the profile report (school especially) previous years to match the term tested and term rostered. Term rostered can only go back to the 23-24 school year. I need it to go back to the 21-22 and 22-23 school year.

  17. I keep getting kicked out trying to do my homework on here because it takes me a while to get through some of the stuff I don't know. I go to do the problem, and I get kicked out of my very much definitely REQUIRED test that will get me kicked out of school if I don't finish. THAT IS BAD. VERY BAD. I WANT THAT GONE.   18. NWEA in schools could be improved by implementing a system that automatically groups students into centers based on their specific needs within a given topic. By analyzing assessment data, NWEA could place students who need reinforcement in a particular skill together, allowing teachers to provide more targeted instruction. This would make small-group instruction more effective, ensuring that students receive the support they need while working alongside peers at a similar level.
