  1. On the student profile report, bring back the info in the black box that used to appear when you hovered over a point on the student's graph that shows their individual growth over time. It was helpful to have this info in one place rather than having to click around for it.

  2. For MAP Growth tests, I want a file that lists all of the Learning Statements for each student after they have taken the assessment. Right now, I have to go into each individual student to pull up their Student Profile to find this information. I want it available as a district .csv so that I may extract the individual statements for specific groups of students.

  3. This test is very difficult to administer. Please make it easy for teachers by being able to assign the test once and being done. It is very difficult to have to keep confirming kids. The kids often get kicked out and you have to check them and give them a different status and then confirm them again, so I can't go on to other tasks that I have to do - I am constantly having to monitor whether my kids have access to this darn test. The administration of it is not user-friendly at all!

  4. A report that showed the students percentile of each "topic" tested within the assessment.
For ex: on the k-12 Science test- we want to see how our students did (%) on Earth and Space. This way, we can pull the lowest 20% in a small group. This may be a different group of students with the "Life" science topic of the test. So we would pull another group.

  5. It would be nice for our intervention teachers to have an option to progress monitor students on individualized learning plans to ensure students are making adequate progress towards their goals. This may be an option through additional paid platforms, but we only have access to MAPS Growth for the time being.

  7. The latest RIT Reference Chart Brochure is from 2019. An updated copy with the 2025 norms would be VERY helpful as it is a great visual for new teachers doing MAP testing for the first time along with parents. It gives a great example of where students are currently at.

  8. This is more focused feedback than a suggestion, and we hope it's not taken lightly.

The NWEA Secure Browser app on Windows is notoriously worse at handling any kind of network disturbance—interruptions, hiccups, temporary disconnections, you name it—than its ChromeOS counterpart.

We’ve spent countless hours “troubleshooting” issues with NWEA support between the Winter 2024–2025 and Spring 2024–2025 periods, but the word troubleshooting is doing some heavy lifting here. While every person who has assisted us by phone has been polite, professional, and willing to help, it’s clear that NWEA lacks the systems and tools necessary to effectively support large schools…

  9. Please make the MAP Growth in the browser have a different background from the app. It will be easier for the proctors to check.

  10. To help build student confidence the test starts out with 2-3 easy (on grade-level or below) field questions. These questions do not have to count towards the test score. I have given this assessment several times and on the first or second question, I have students crying defeated because the question is so hard.

  11. As a consultant who works with multiple charter schools, I currently have to provide a separate email address to each school in order to establish a MAP account to access reports, etc. Please provide an option to assign multiple districts to one email address, then have the user select the district they want to access when they log in. Other sites like Panorama, WASC portal, etc. provide this functionality.

  12. On the school profile quadrant chart, one needs to hover to get the grades to show up. Could they show up automatically so that they are there if we print?

  13. I have been asked to write to you by my technology department to request that you try to expand the range of Mac operating systems that your secure browser will operate on in a given year.

We are a Mac school. From grade 5, our students buy their own Mac. In grades 1 to 4, the school has a bank of Mac computers that are available for classes to use. As a school, we cannot afford to be constantly replacing the Macs that we have in the school. Some of the Macs we use in school are 6 or 7…

  14. NWEA needs to build additional integrations for authentication and user provisioning into NWEA MAP Growth. Currently the only two options for SSO are Clever and Classlink. However a system with as sensitive of data as NWEA, there needs to be configuration for a fully fledged IdP such as Okta. Ideally this configuration would be via OIDC and also support user provisioning via SCIM. Currently all user account creation is managed manually, which can leave behind stale user accounts that pose security risks. Further, there is no native way within NWEA's user management portal to enforce MFA. If NWEA were to…

  15. I would love to be able to compare our school's data with other state schools participating in MAP Growth like we are able to do with the PSAT and SAT. We like to have a data point for both state and national averages for comparisons.

  16. incorporate existing eye-tracking software (like Tobii) to the test. The software will track where student eyes go, how long they spent on each word of each question. This will help see if students are guessing or having trouble with certain vocabulary.

  17. After having parent conferences and explaining the decrease in growth and/or achievement, we find ourselves pulling up the student profile at times and using more charts, graphics and data from it to explain the parent report. For example, the test duration would be great to include on the parent report. That, at times, explains why their score dropped. This helps teachers explain this decrease a little better.

  18. Please rename the 'Reading 2-5 CA 2010 1.1' and 'Math 2-5 CA 2010 1.1' tests to 'Reading 3-5 CA 2010 1.1' and 'Math 3-5 CA 2010 1' respectively. The Grade 2 appears in two tests, which confuses the second grade teachers. Thanks!

  19. When running a report of suspended tests, I'd like to be able to see the date a student started the test. This would help in prioritizing which tests a student should finish first before they expire.

  20. The requirement for Kiosk mode on chromebooks seems excessive. With a large number of students, paying a monthly fee for kiosk mode on top of the NWEA fee adds up to quite a lot for something that is only used 2-3x per year.
