  1. When students complete testing, they are shown a screen that describes their subscores as "goal scores" and the range as "goal range"-- if this is shared with parents, they assume this means that the student's score should be in the "goal range" when it's just showing how consistently the student answered in the subtopic area.

  2. At this moment teachers can only pull up Lexile Ranges in their reports. It would be nice to be able to pull the exact Scores as well.

  3. The text to speech pronounces environment incorrectly, as it pronounces the second 'n'. Also, it pronounces 20,000 as "20, zero zero zero". You could make the program run a check for whether the text says 3 numbers after a comma, or if there's just a space and 2 other characters. (Idea submitted by a student.)

  4. I was just informed that the norms were updated this summer. However, the student report page has changed all previous windows to reflect the new norms. THIS IS NOT ACCURATE OR CORRECT. The percentiles are no longer accurate and the graph CANNOT be used to interpret the data. For example, a 157 for 1st grade for spring of 2025 was in the 15th percentile when the test was given. Now, it shows that the percentile is the 24th percentile. This makes the score within the average range while the 15th percentile is outside of it. This is a very large…

  5. This test is very difficult to administer. Please make it easy for teachers by being able to assign the test once and being done. It is very difficult to have to keep confirming kids. The kids often get kicked out and you have to check them and give them a different status and then confirm them again, so I can't go on to other tasks that I have to do - I am constantly having to monitor whether my kids have access to this darn test. The administration of it is not user-friendly at all!

  6. I like to see how our students perform from Fall of say grade 3 to Fall of grade 4. I am currently entering this data manually. Since it already exist in the system can a report be created where the system can do this for me? Or even be able to download that data to a csv, then I can cut and paste... still not as easy as if the report already exist.

  8. There needs to be a faster way to assign multiple teachers to the same class. There should be an option within the class to check and assign teachers to that class without doing it term by term, teacher by teacher, one at a time. This is tedious and time-consuming.

  10. In the 2025 MAP Growth Norms Technical Manual, the achievement percentiles are represented in increments of 5. This would be more useful if you posted the entire table, similar to the 2020 norms, with Pct. 1-99.

  11. Removing our permissions to edit our own district has been disastrous. We've had to add a new school, and where we could have done so immediately in the past, we have now waited over a week, and the school still has not been updated. This is ridiculous.

  12. Ever since the recent update, the “Create Student” button in Active Session has disappeared for District Proctors.

    I get it — streamlining user roles is probably meant to improve clarity and control. But honestly, this was not a smart move. That button was essential for those last-minute situations when a student shows up for testing but isn’t rostered yet.

    Having to go through Manage Students or upload a full roster file just to create one student profile is not efficient, especially in high-pressure testing moments. The old setup let us create a student in seconds, right in Active Session. It…

  15. I would love to have a report where I can see all students in a spreadsheet with all of their existing scores by term. I.E. For math student ben I would be able to see each of his scores for whaterver date range I pull. This would be very helpful for quality control and to quickly identify students who are not progressing.

  18. To help build student confidence the test starts out with 2-3 easy (on grade-level or below) field questions. These questions do not have to count towards the test score. I have given this assessment several times and on the first or second question, I have students crying defeated because the question is so hard.

  19. Proctors should not be able to administer a test. I have had multiple proctors terminate multiple tests because a student thinks they are not done with a test (forgot they finished with a different teacher a different day), and the teacher gets flustered and terminates the test, thinking they can reset it so the student can be assigned a new test. Please make it much more difficult to terminate a test so this is not accidentally done. Thanks!
