Student testing progress
It would really be nice to see where students are at in the fluency process like we do with the Map Growth screeners.

ISR Report Request for MAP Reading Fluency
Missouri would LOVE to have a report that shows students' MAP Reading Fluency from Fall, Winter, and Spring all in one Report (similar to the MAP Growth ISR). This would be so helpful for our required RSP (Reading Success Plans) to show parents the colors of where their students fall to show that they either show improvement or need extra resources to get to where they need to be per their grade level.

Can you add functionality to create groups of kids for progress monitoring? I would like to see my tier 3 students captured within one repor
Being able to "batch assign" progress monitoring tasks to my tier 3 students would be a time saver. Also, seeing their progress monitoring data as a cohort within a grade level would also be very helpful. Right now I have to sift through all of grade K, 1, 2 to find my individual students' data.

Screener Data
I wish we could see screener data if we only subscribe to MAP Growth. We are able to give the screeners, but cannot view the data.

Comparison by Dates
Is there a way to compare dates taken rather just by term? We have students who have taken the assessment in the same term but a month or so apart. I'd like to see the school-wide data as a whole comparing their Sept. to Nov. test.

Need variety in phonics/word recognition PM
I think phonics/word recognition progress monitoring needs to have different words each time. Some of my EL students keep missing the same words because they don't know what the word means. However, many times they can read the words.
A few of the words they get stuck on
pit (peach pit), mug, toss, drain They can read them but they don't know what they mean.I feel like that if they were given different words with the same rime, we would know if it was vocabulary or phonics.
I decided to watch one of my students take the test to…

Understanding Data in the Southern Hemisphere
Partners in the Southern Hemisphere are willing to use MAP Reading Fluency but are presented with the challenge of looking at students' data since their school year's start within our spring term. As an example, students begin the school year in March but are measured against end of year expectations versus beginning of year expectations.

High percentile but not meeting expectations??
Some of my students are only approaching expectations yet their percentiles are high. For example, one student is only labeled as approaching expectations but scored 79th percentile for phonics. That would make sense for a benchmark but not for a percentile. You either need to make adjustments to your categories or explain in a video the reasoning. The only mathematical logic I can think of is if the entire nation's norms are just that skewed due to low literacy skills.
These numbers and results are important for making decisions and talking about risk with parents.

Confusing RHYME
In the rhyming section, the two clues are sun and one, the answer is run. Sun and one don't rhyme. It's very confusing.

Indicator of review needed
There needs to be an indication on the main page of grade level/classroom lists that a reading test needs to be reviewed so we do not have to click on each student to see which tests we need to listen to.

Could you please add percentiles to this graph?

MAP Reading Fluency Integrated with app
It would be wonderful to have MAP Reading Fluency on the same app as NWEA MAP Growth. It would alleviate intense student and teacher confusion on which one they needed to be accessing, given Math is on the app for ALL grade levels, but reading switches.

Groups
I wish I could make groups for the students that I am teaching. Printing data takes for ever because you have to click on each individual students. In the FASTBridge Learning platform, you can select all the students you need and print out the reports in one action.

MAP Login
It would be nice if the login for students was in the same area that they use to access the MAP reading and math assessments.
I also wish that the reading fluency allowed you to see students progress like the other MAP assessments.

Add percentiles to Progress Monitoring dashboard alongside domain score
Current view in progress monitoring includes domain score and ZPD level. It would be great to see the percentile alongside domain score.

Limit which tests can be administered by grade, similar to MAP Growth
To limit teachers from choosing the wrong tests for students for the required tests Missouri requires by grade level, please allow the tests on the Reading Fluency side to be similar to manage as those on the MAP Growth side, where I can change by grade which tests are available for teachers to choose.

How to reduce language bias
This instrument over-identified our ELL students because on multiple portions of the assessment they had to click every picture to find out what it was before selecting their answer. Our non-ELL students could rapidly identify the pictures and therefore selected more correct answers within the time limit. One way this language bias could be reduced would be to extend the time limit a bit and have every user listen to the computer identifying all the pictures. Without an alteration such as this, MAP Reading Fluency has limited usefulness with ELL students.
