  1. We use the NWEA Web-based MAP Automated Report Services to retrieve data export files and recently moved the scripts to a new linux server. We had some difficulty getting these scripts to run; I think adding some additional instructions may help.

The first issue was retrieving the required Perl packages via the cpanm utility, per the recommendation on https://www.cpan.org/modules/INSTALL.html. That approach yields a failure during the building and testing step for the package WWW:Curl::Easy. To work around this, we used the system package manager to install the curl related dependencies for retrieve_dex.pl:
    sudo dnf update
    sudo dnf install perl-WWW-Curl

  3. With the recent removal of the standard version of the MAP screening tests leaving only the accessible versions of the MAP screening tests, the pop-up warning that you have selected an accessible version of the screening tests that tells you to make sure you have chosen the correct version is misleading and causes proctors to question their choice when there is no longer any other version to select. Can that message be removed?

  4. With the retirement of the student progress report next year, we need the ability to run the other reports, such as student profile and family report, in batch at the school or grade level. Currently, both those reports require you to drill down to the teacher and class. From there you can run a batch file for an entire class. However, we need the ability to run reports in bulk by school or at the least by grade level. It would be extremely time consuming having to run each report by each class.

  5. There are font options that promote smoother/more fluent reading for students that have dyslexia. These specific fonts help mitigate the challenges that some students experience when reading.

  6. It is too much detail and work for teachers to create test sessions and assign the right tests, etc. It is actually quite difficult to get some teachers to create test sessions with the correct students, accomodations and tests, and leaves a lot of room for error. Test Coordinators need to be able to create test sessions and assign them straight to proctors so they see it as a saved session with they login to their proctor account. Please enable this feature.

  7. Test Coordinators need to be able to set accomodations for each student in learning support. It is really difficult that teachers (proctors) have to set accommodations, and leave a lot of room for error. Some of our students are not receiving the accommodations they are entitled to, because teachers simply forget to assign them. This should be rectified- admin should be able to set accommodations that STICK with the student in any test session, for each subject according to their learning support plan. It is too much detail and labor for teachers to do so.

  8. Proctors should not be able to administer a test. I have had multiple proctors terminate multiple tests because a student thinks they are not done with a test (forgot they finished with a different teacher a different day), and the teacher gets flustered and terminates the test, thinking they can reset it so the student can be assigned a new test. Please make it much more difficult to terminate a test so this is not accidentally done. Thanks!

  9. Please consider keeping the Legacy Grade & Class reports. These are the most useful reports for MTSS systems. As a school psych looking at grade level, and building level trends it is essential to be able to generate a quick report that shows the entire class/grade on one page with percentile ranks and important info like the amount of time spent & rapid guessing. Please don't make our jobs harder! The new student profile misses the mark for allowing you to look at a large amount of data (on multiple students) easily at once.

  10. Multiple disruptions of service! During the last 4 years of 3X/year administration, multiple times we've tried to launch built test sessions and the NWEA site has been unresponsive. Worse, frantic calls to NWEA tech support go unanswered. Very stressful and disheartening.

  11. Despite actively working on the platform, I'm repeatedly logged out automatically after a short period. This isn't just inconvenient; it's wasting a significant amount of my time and severely impacting my productivity. Frankly, it's baffling that such a basic functionality isn't working as expected.I strongly encourage you to look into this issue, as it’s turning a straightforward task into an unnecessarily complicated one.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

  12. It would be AMAZING if the system could sync family reports for individual students to a family email (or a pair of email addresses) to each individual student registered to the test. In other words, if a SYNC could attach 2 family emails to a test taker, then the family report could be emailed to the specific family instead of the school having to print or save 350+ individual PDF results, manually saved, then attached to an email for all 350+ students.

  13. Please make available in the profile report (school especially) previous years to match the term tested and term rostered. Term rostered can only go back to the 23-24 school year. I need it to go back to the 21-22 and 22-23 school year.

  14. Our school currently uses the Grade Report to look at data on a student-by-student basis for the whole grade and determine students in need of Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions. The School Profile Report, which is listed as a replacement for the Grade Report, does not allow you to sort the entire grade alphabetically or by RIT score, regardless of classroom teacher. Additionally, although you can hover and see which students scored in each range, you cannot print that information, or get the detailed information about student scores in specific instructional areas for all of the students in the…

  16. Once the Chromebook kiosk app launches, there isn't a way to check the battery percentage. If a student doesn't check before they launch and their battery is low (less than 10%), we run the risk of the Chromebook unceremoniously shutting down in the middle of a test. Please display the percentage discreetly somewhere on the screen so that we can avoid this in the future.

  17. It would be very helpful for my team if the Family Report could be exported as a Word File or Google Doc. We mailmerge reports like this out to our families and mailmerge their addresses into it so that they can be sent to the correct place, but this is much harder to do with a PDF file. Thanks for your consideration!

  18. Is there a way to create a Students Grouped by Instructional Area Scores report for grade levels - This would be extremely beneficial for grade level intervention, MTSS/RTI, etc. Right now, we're having to piece together reports and disaggregate further in order to best group students by their lowest instructional area/need across the grade level.

  19. As a district level user of the NWEA reports, I want to be able to filter the grade levels of the "District Profile" and "Student Summary" reports to only include our Elementary Data. I am the assistant director of Elementary Schools. So, when I pull data, I am not necessarily as concerned with the data for grades 6-9. It makes it difficult to view these overarching reports if i can't filter on specific grade levels. The Middle School Assistant Director would agree. When she views District Level Data, she doesn't need K-5.
