Showing things in multiple ways
We are teaching them that a number and a letter right next to each other means multiplication. For example, image.png, and they have to solve for X. But they way they are writing on MAP is
image.png image.png, meaning times X. It is very confusing to the kids because they already know it's multiplication and we no longer use the X for multiplication because it is a variable. Is there a place for administrators to make suggestions for improvements to the MAP/NWEA testing?? For our kids, it's ilke there is an extra "X" in the problem. (From MS Math teachers)3 votes -
Partial Test RIT Score release
I work at a school and all students have learning disabilities, primarily dyslexia and reading comprehension struggles. That being said, most students take more than one day to complete the test and some even take 3 or more sessions. There are a few students who are unable to complete the test but have put in many hours and are able to get a RIT score.
It would be great to have an option where there is a "did not finish" button that allows us to end a test and obtain the RIT score, but as some sort of indication that…

Rename "Growth Math 6+" to "Growth Math Secondary"
Many view the Growth Math 6+ as a 6th grade test based on the title. Given its content and span, I would recommend the name be changed to "Growth Math Secondary".

An Excel (vs current pdf) download of all users. Currently, I get a 20-page PDF with many of the same users at all our schools that I have to sift through visually in order to inactivate defunct users. It would be great to have the columns list the persons' last name, first name, and school. Thanks!

My school is on the quarter system. I need the ability to compare 2 assessments taken in the fall, or 2 in the winter or 2 in the spring.
Please make it possible to produce growth reports for assessments given within the same period (Fall, Winter or Spring). We are on the quarter system at my school and it would be beneficial to see the results prior to student schedules / teachers changing

Update to Rosters Import File Requirements
The new update to the rosters import file requirements necessitates that each row have a valid email address associated with it. In theory, this is a good idea. But in practice, it is causing more work for schools/districts who have classes that are not yet assigned to an instructor yet (for example, classes currently being covered by a long-term sub). Previously, we were able to upload the file with "Staff" listed in the instructor column. Now, I am forced to manually change 300+ rows of data to connect each student in these classes to the appropriate instructor account. The previous…

Graph Illustrating Student Growth In Instructional Areas
It would be nice to share student growth in the individual instructional areas (e.g. Matter, Energy, Motion) over the course of the school year. I envision a graph with Time on the X and Score on the Y and three lines (one per instructional area).

Display more than one test in a term on the Student Profile Page
I give students the course-specific math tests, and my district requires the 6+ Math growth test. This means that on the student profile page, I can only pull up the data for the most recent test (or the test with the better standard deviation). I also cannot print the data for both the course-specific and 6+ Math for individual students or their guardians.

Warning that Platform is Nearing End Of Life
Each year our schools are caught off guard when Chromebooks and IPads are not able to support NWEA testing. It would great if, as one of these devices approaches end of life, the NWEA application would detect the situation and notify the users that their machine may not work during an upcoming testing session.

Can you still access family growth reports? I love the visual of the graphs.
I love the family report with the graphs for growth in reading and math over time. I also like the high achieving or low achieving and high growth or low growth. It gives a better picture of how they are doing, in my opinion.

Go back to the old website
All I want to do is print my students' scores...not train on how to find them on your website. No one has time for that and I can't find any of the stuff I actually need! Let's take it back to an assessment website instead of a professional development website.

Testing Time
Is there a way we can prevent the students from finishing very quickly? Rapid guessing doesn't come up for some kids because that is within the "assumed time," etc. However, a majority of the kids are taking a 42-47 question math test in less than 30 minutes. A lot of kids who are below average know way more than their placement. Or ask them more "current grade level" questions on top of the past standards to help improve their score. Thank you!!

Calculation change for STAAR proficiencies
When looking at data for STAAR in Texas, students who fall under "meets" and "masters" are also included in the "approaches" percentage. Also, any student who is in the "masters" zone is also included in the "meets" zone. It would be helpful if reports that are populated already included these students in the "approaches" and "meets" categories. Currently, we have to calculate this by hand.

Alignment of proficiency with State Proficiency
Our district would greatly appreciate if you could report overall MAP Growth proficiency to match state proficiency in the linking studies. The MAP Growth data is giving our teachers a "false sense" of data. For example, our students are making growth and improved achievement but not enough to make state proficiency.

Choose Number of Questions
I would like to choose the number of questions for the Math Skills Checklist practice test etc. I was testing on number sense and 35 practice questions for first grade is too many.

Add more colors for the highlighter tools
Our students did a writing workshop that taught them how to highlight different information using different colors. Example...Setting (yellow), time (blue), action (green), reaction (red), etc. On the STAR test, they do allow different colors for the highlighter. It would be nice if all things were aligned for the students sake.

Student Log in
We are running into some issues with testing sessions and student test access. It would be great if students had a log into the system rather than selecting their name from a drop down. It would also be helpful if the school for the testing session were listed as one of the columns for ease of finding all sessions at that school for review. It would be great if the filters on the test session screen also held so when reviewing details of multiple sessions the filters would not need to be redone each time. Feel free to contact me…

Estimated percentile for content-specific science tests (life, physical, Earth and space)
DC uses a content-specific MAP test for science (life, physical or Earth and space science) but there is no percentile rank information available for these tests. I can see that physical science content for 8th grade is all mastered by a 260 but a breakdown of what each score means would be very helpful for reporting this information to students and parents. Telling a student they scored 210 is not as powerful as telling them they are in the 50th percentile.
