  1. As a "School Proctor" I should be able to proctor MAP Reading Fluency to any students at my school just like I can proctor other MAP Growth Tests to any students. Since I am not a homeroom teacher, I am not able to proctor MAP Reading Fluency tests and yet I am one of our school's learning support specialists. Because I don't have a class assigned to me, I cannot administer the MAP Reading Fluency Test. I think NWEA should give the same proctoring permissions for ALL tests (Growth and Reading Fluency) with the "School Proctor" permission. This is very…

  2. Can a report be created that is exportable to excel or in csv that includes the data from the subskills i.e. being able to export the instructional planning report into an excel to include the student id? We're trying to use the subskill data to create student groups across a very large grade level. Being able to export would expedite that process versus having to take the current instructional planning report and manually enter into an excel. Thank you!

  4. Is there a report that we can get that determines what we need to work on for accuracy? Listening to the audio and determining what to work on, is a lot to put on teachers' plate.

  5. On the benchmarks, please gray out the DONE button until a minute or so has passed. Students want to hit it and we end up redoing tests.

  6. Hello,
    I have been having problems with the Fluency program booting me out. So, I have to log in multiple times while they are taking the test. I then noticed that when this happened, my students had problems with their assessment. As long as I kept moving my mouse to keep the program on, my students would be able to take their assessment without issue.

  7. Ohio Connections Academy: We found that the playback feature worked, but not for every student. There were many instances that the microphone did not pick up the student's voice with enough clarity to accurately complete the hand scoring and often teachers were completing an additional 1:1 reading diagnostic to get a better understand of the student's reading levels.

    The teachers loved the reporting aspect of the reading fluency and the breakdown of the foundation skills, however for most students, teachers were completing the reading fluency benchmark along with another 1:1 reading diagnostic to fully understand the student's reading level.

  8. There should be some way that the password that was created works immediately. It is very frustrating to know what the student's password is, and it not work.

  12. If you are using the Reading fluency map on the ipad, make sure your students press "Allow" when the app asks to use the microphone. If they press deny, the proctor will need to go into settings, find the Reading Fluency app settings, and toggle the microphone switch to ON. I would add this to the knowledge base.

  13. Our teachers use iPads for administering assessments in classrooms. Currently, MAP Reading Fluency cannot be administered on iPads and reports cannot be accessed/viewed on iPads. This limits how and where we can administer assessments and share/talk about our data.

  15. Partners in the Southern Hemisphere are willing to use MAP Reading Fluency but are presented with the challenge of looking at students' data since their school year's start within our spring term. As an example, students begin the school year in March but are measured against end of year expectations versus beginning of year expectations.

  16. Some of my students are only approaching expectations yet their percentiles are high. For example, one student is only labeled as approaching expectations but scored 79th percentile for phonics. That would make sense for a benchmark but not for a percentile. You either need to make adjustments to your categories or explain in a video the reasoning. The only mathematical logic I can think of is if the entire nation's norms are just that skewed due to low literacy skills.

    These numbers and results are important for making decisions and talking about risk with parents.

  17. There needs to be an indication on the main page of grade level/classroom lists that a reading test needs to be reviewed so we do not have to click on each student to see which tests we need to listen to.

  18. Teachers need access to reports, for each student and they must hunt for it. Please make a app just for student/ class/ family reports - one for each. Teachers are already busy and working off the clock . And specfically label each link . I am tired of spending too much time trying to find a student or family report.

  20. It would be wonderful to have MAP Reading Fluency on the same app as NWEA MAP Growth. It would alleviate intense student and teacher confusion on which one they needed to be accessing, given Math is on the app for ALL grade levels, but reading switches.
